nice price deal !!! viennese producer tenchu is no greenhorn, no newcomer prodigy. instead the 27 year old is one of austrias finest having earned his stripes many times over in the countrys prolific drum n bass scene. one half of producer duo dubfiction, tenchu graces the third release of nascent label dub:iouz records with two of his latest tunes. a side motivational poster is nothing short of a killer dance floor stomper defining the labels identity. aa side used to be, especially under the skilful treatment of non other than hotflush recordings owner scuba, listeners bear witness to another genre central dubtastic idm tune.

straight off the heels of his highly successful bird brain album teaser tracks, aundy and beat that bird comes the definitive claude vonstroke record everyone has been waiting for. the a side is classic genius cvs at work. he constructs a mad vocal pattern up and down through 4 octaves and all the vowel sounds of the live human voice. then he creates a chord out of the notes all coming together for en even bigger surprise in the 2nd half. this track is quite simply unique. there is nothing else like it. the b-side resembles the freaky side of cvs harking back to the tech funk sound of tracks like chimps. this time claude makes an ultra-wide filter sweep sound like a pair of humongous tits bouncing up and down on a trampoline. the boob jokes are there but the track is so filthy dirty its hard to even find time to chuckle.

roland appel started producing music and spinning records in the early nineties. he was a member of fauna flash (together with christian prommer) and the trüby trio (with rainer trüby + christian prommer). in 2002 he released an album with peter kruder and christian prommer as voom:voom . with every project he toured the world and played clubs and festivals from montreal jazz festival, sonar festival to fabric london, new york, berlin and tokyo. from 2004 to 2006 roland lived in paris. during this time he started to write music for his solo career which quickly gained an international following. in 2006 returning to his home town of munich he teamed up with engineer jan krause to start recording once again. whether roland incorporates an accomplice or is working solo, thereÆs hardly a dull moment in the studio or on stage, captivating his audience by combining the integral influences of detroit techno, folk, disco all the way to soul and house. one of the most in demand tracks from the all night long album, snow gets a full single release as a result of the huge response from disco heavyweights horse meat disco, who took the time to contact us to tell us how much they love it. old school disco in every way, certainly not space and nothing nu about ita.. dfa darlings runaway turn it in a slow burning house direction that builds the tension until every last drop is wrung out in a sweaty pool on the dancefloor. nice.
